Declaration Pictures Inc., (http://www.declarationpictures.com) announced today that it has secured the motion-picture, TV and additional format/medium rights to Amadhia Albee’s “Kaze: Ghost Warrior”.
Declaration Pictures Inc. president, Kelly Lee Myers, will be heading-up development of the property into a CG animated action/drama TV series with Albee functioning as Creative Consultant.
“We are very excited about being able to finally bring Kaze to life in this medium after so many years. The support of the fans of the original short film, and now upcoming radio plays, worldwide has been unwavering and growing,” said Myers, an award-winning 20+ year veteran of Film/TV visual effects industries.
He continued by stating, “The series will be cutting-edge in terms of the technology used to bring Kaze to life, and so will the story-lines and characters. This is not going to be a kids’-show by any means. Our intention is to make it as hard-hitting and gritty as any live-action, action/drama on TV today; and we will be bringing-on talented writers as we develop the episodic scripts and the overall story-arc for the series.”
The company says that pre-production will begin in the fall of 2014, with voice casting scheduled shortly thereafter with the goal of putting the first episodes into full production in the early months of 2015.
Declaration Pictures Inc., will also be handling merchandising and additional transmedia product development and distribution for the KAZE: GHOST WARRIOR series.
